ReStore Anniversary Celebration May 4

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Rabun County is celebrating its successful first year at its new location, 43 Chechero Street, by throwing an anniversary party on May 4 for its customers. There will be free hot dogs, chips, and soft drinks, plus drawings and door prizes throughout the day--it promises to be a fun-filled day for all.

Door prize and drawing winners must be presented to win, and ReStore manager Walt Henderson plans to make it worth their while to be there. He promises drawings of $5-$50 and with a twinkle in his eyes, said, “You’ll just have to be here to see what else we have.”

For the past month, the store has been running an Earth Day contest, for which patrons could post their best upcycle find at ReStore. The winner of that contest will be announced at noon during the Anniversary Celebration.

Proceeds from ReStore go toward providing affordable housing here in Rabun County. For the past 30 years, Habitat of Rabun County has built at least one home a year locally. This year, they will build their 35th home. The ReStore helps provide funding for these homes. Every purchase, every donation, every volunteer hour helps makes a difference here in Rabun County.

We hope to see everyone there on Saturday, May 4! The store will be open from 10 am till 4 p.m.
